Why this book?
Growing up, we had a huge collection of Dr. Seuss' books. My favorite was Wacky Wednesday. My mother, siblings, and I would spend an hour reading and finding all the wacky things happening in the book.

Why this book?
I got my first two royal diaries, Cleopatra and Elizabeth I, from the Scholastic book order in 4th grade. I inhaled both books and that was the start of my collection for all the books in the Dear America series.

Why this book?
My grandmother bought my the full book set and the matching Addy doll, which I still have to this day. I've enjoyed historical fiction for as long as I can remember and I think these books helped to solidify that love.
