Caraval

This is the perfect read if you're in the mood for a light, whimsical fantasy. Although there are high stakes, it still has a sense of magic and mystery which keep it light and entertaining.

I do feel that it started to feel a bit repetitive in the 200-300 page range, and how many times do we need to be reminded that she's looking for her sister and needs to be back to get married in X amount of days? This repetition made it read quite YA and was a bit tedious.

The final 100 pages was a great and turned the book around for me, I liked the reveals and how some things tied up and others opened new mysteries for the next book.
