Feline the Pressure

2020 • 145 pages

Lacey Carter Andersen, L.A. Boruff, and Laura Greenwood give us an engaging and fast paced ending to the “The Firehouse Feline” series with Feline the Pressure. Every hero has to face a personal battle against their dark side or past and they do. This can be hard to read if you have bonded with the characters. (Not that I do this at all - not at all). Yet anyone who has read a comic or watched a Marvel movie lately knows that out of the darkness, the hero comes out stronger. Take that bad guy! (Pow!)

Our writer trio gives us battles, betrayals, and unfortunately with every battle we do have losses. They also provide us with happy heartfelt moments and yes (thank goodness) some “fun” and not necessarily in the sheets (laugh). Hmm...I wonder if this is the paragraph that gets edited for social posting - ya think? Since that will probably be the case, I think all of the guys should have been able to get in on the action, but there really wasn't time for all of that in between all of the drama and fighting much to disappointment of Callie and especially Will. (laugh)

I have to say I was surprised this was the end. I am sad to say goodbye to Callie. She is feisty, loyal, and a girl who can find trouble without looking and she looks. (laugh) This book is a great send off to the group. May they reign until Robbie grows up and gets his own series. See you then!

I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily.
