Even if you don't own an ice cream machine you can make ice cream. You can make all sorts of different and yes weird combinations from this book. I found the instructions very concise and easy to follow. I even made my own better chocolate chunks and sprinkles to add to my ice cream. I really want to try the Marzipan Semifreddo next. There are full color pictures of the different types of ice cream in the book.
