I'm really really not sold on Tom. I liked Denny. Tom..... less so. A lot less.

Almost 80% of this book is Denny trying to get Tom to like him back. And Tom steadfastly not giving in. This is one of those books where it feels like one of them gives a lot more than they get back.

It doesn't help that the love declaration is during a sexual situation. Or that there's barely an apology from Tom for being dickish most of the time. Or that immediately after they get together, the book pretty much goes to the epilogue, so there's no look into what their relationship (with a now willing Tom) is like, beyond knowing they've made it 8 months.
