I can't give these books an amazing simply because I have really high standards but they are really good. This has to be my favorite yet and would have given it 4 1/2 stars if I could.
This book focuses on demon/warrior Pain/Reyes and Danika. We learn more about the Titans, another artifact is found and another warrior is in love and has found a little bit of peace. Although each book focuses primarily on one warrior, the author tries to weave in other characters and shifts the focus on to them momentarily usually to set the reader up for something else that happens along the way... I felt that in book two the author did this abruptly and at the wrong moments. I remember it happening half way through the book and I got to this climax(something REALLY good was about to happen action wise) only to be interrupted by a thread on these other characters that had nothing to do with the action I just read and I crashed hard... leaving the book on my bed and not wanting to return to it for hours. It was hard for me to get back into the book after that. In book three author got this transitioning thing down! No crash and burn for me. :-) Story moved along great! I have really grown to care about the characters. They are mystical characters but their emotions are totally real and one can easily relate to them. I can't wait to read book 3.5 :-)
