If anyone wants to know how it feels to suffer from depression and anxiety, this is a perfect example of one man's experience. He lets the reader hear his inner dialogue and explains the disease of depression without sounding patronizing.
The whole series was great with a fantastic set of characters. Images are beautiful and content so interesting. If you haven't already and you enjoy graphic novels, give it a shot.
I find it hard to believe this book is not talked about more. It was a great surprise. I look forward to book two.
So I don't know if I should give this a rating. It's very difficult to rate some non-fiction. Do you rate for the comprehensive knowledge the author has on the topic, or do you rate for pure enjoyment alone? The book was well-researched and full of facts- 5 stars. Unfortunately, for pure enjoyment , 3 stars. So as I'm writing this, I have it as a 3 star book, but I'm going to change it to a 4 to meet the 3 & 5 in the middle.
I loved all the different points of view. It reminded me of Wheel of Time in that aspect. I also liked the balance between character and plot.
I did predict a few of the plot points, but it didn't take away from my enjoyment of the book.
I will definitely be reading the rest of the series.
3 stars for the first and 5 for the second...what a ride at the end. It was a little longer then I would I have liked but, but each book keeps getting better and better. I've really come to care about these characters and what happens to them.
Don't usually read contemporary, but I wanted read from this character's perspective. Great book.
I love the character work, devious though they may be. I know some might not like Jorg, but he is interesting. The book also went to places I wasn't expecting.
