This entire series is a classic. It was a childhood staple and even 15 years later, I still adore Riordan's series.

If you want a book that will pull you in only to rip your heart out, than this is definitely for you. Extra points for sticking so closely to the true mythos. I think I've cried the hardest reading this book than any before.
