An interesting book. I heard about the authors in a blog post about their 30 years of writing this series. Definitely a “written in the 80s” feel but solid story.
Depressing but good. The historical context for the Democratic Party’s problems was eye opening and useful.
Wow. Did not (maybe my bad) realize this was gonna jump right into right-wing anti government propaganda. Calling anti-vaxxers "Heroes" is... nope. No thank you.

not for me. By the end of a long read, everyone was pretty much where they started and had little to no growth as people.
There was zero payoff.
tl;dr; Just not for me.
I've read most of the adult focused High Republic and whatever the prequels were called, books. They're just not that engaging and rely way too much on the reader having read the comics, and the YA books.
I knew going in they'd do that so, so that's not part of my rating, just a general gripe. :)
My rating is because the story just took forever to not get very far.
I went in not knowing what to expect. How could I? I'd not read much of anything from African diaspora authors before.
These shorts were all engaging and interesting. Some I liked more than others but all provided interesting perspectives and stories from backgrounds so different from my own.
Definitely recommend.
Well that was a gut punch.
Should be required reading for anyone on the left (I mean, really all over, but you know...). There's so much that isn't right any more and can be fixed.
Don't read this if you like Kindle Unlimited, Spotify or just about any big tech/big content.
I think I'm done with Firefly novels. This was the third I've tried and they're all the same. Slow, no real stakes. The writing is solid, this isn't a knock on that. It's a knock on whoever decided to keep these novels set between TV show and movie.
Give us post movie adventures.
Another great entry. The overall story didn't really progress a ton, felt like filler, but still enjoyable.
Another great entry. This one was more engaging than the previous, loved the action and advancing the plot. Can't wait to see/read what happens next!
Stay Tuned for more!

Another great entry in the series. Nice to see some familiar faces and nice to not have the fate of the galaxy on their shoulders. Hoping for more of this.
Might one of my new favorites. Love the banter and the action. Can't wait to read more!
I enjoyed it, I love the characters. This one felt like filler. There was some action, but it wasn't really “moving the story” action. It felt more like, “Gotta have action, here's a battle”
That said, I really love the characters, I'll keep reading. A series this long is bound to have a few slower paced episodes.
The love story (If you could call it that) was not the greatest. It added nothing and could have been cut and had no impact on the story. Otherwise, a super enjoyable read, with some neat twists and turns.
I didn't love it. Partially because with these older “legends” books they were releasing fast and furious and several times the characters mentioned things I didn't remember from the previous book, so was left wondering if I missed a book. Meh not the end of the world.
A pretty solid Star Wars adventure overall just not amazing.
Great thriller. Think I found it in a used book store, can't recall, but great story. Characters weren't flat or anything.
I'm excited to see where this third entry in the series goes. A slow start, but I expected that. Bring on more stories!
Definitely a must read if you're a romance writer.
While not wholly unhelpful for non-romance, I don't think it's that helpful. I got a few things out of it and have a few things to consider (Hence the 3 stars) so not a waste of time or money, but not the homerun many say it is, for me.
