Sadly, this writing style is not for me. However, that does not mean this novel was bad or poorly written. It is definitely deserving of the praise it has received.
While I didn't mind with her other books, it really annoyed me that she only writes the same stories and characters, just with different names. Hee books are still quick reads, but this one I just could not care less about..
I skipped through most of this book to a very disappointing end, so I'm glad I saved myself the effort. I will not continue reading this author's books, but I do think they are fun for 10-15 year old readers who are new to the murder mystery genre.
I was taught to say nothing if I don't have anything nice to say. So I'll just say nothing.
Pretty sure this is the only book that has made me happy cry multiple times. While it took me about 100 pages to get into the story I was hooked right after.
I have grown so attached to all of these characters and found types of people and creatures I would want in my life.
Everyone should (want to) read this.
This book is divided into small chapters that follow a person specifically, but also have a continuing storyline. The first two were not that interesting to me, but the third one was really good. The last one completely ripped my heart out, it was so beautiful and sad. If the whole book had bern like the last chapter I would have given 5 stars easily. Sadly the writing style did not work for me for most of the book.
Since the last chapter was amazing I'll up the rating to 3,5*
No flaws detected.
The writing style of this book (being written like a script) might not be for everyone, but the substance is amazing. You can always listing to it as an audiobook.
Better than the first one and so incredibly cute!! The show is so close to the source material.
This book was a lot better than I expected it to be. It reminded me a bit of Annihilation (the movie, I have not read the book) in the best way. I really liked the main character and the way she describes things. I am also very happy that the romance was not the main part of the book, that wouldn't have suited the tone at all. Aside from that, the world building and suspense was very atmospheric and realistic. There were a few things in the book that I did not care about that much, but the plot twists made me forget about those little things. Maybe this is not for everyone, though I do suggest you give it a try.
So cute!
Was this necessary? No
Am I happy it exists? Absolutely!
I miss them all very much and hope for another book in the future.

A bit repetitive at times but other than that this book is a great conclusion to the series!
Absolutely amazing. No cons. It made me cry and only one other book has been able to do that. It teaches so many important lessons.

I really enjoyed this. The book was fast paced with plenty of twists and turns. I did not see the ending coming (but im also not good at predicting them). Compared to her last book, One of Us Is Lying, you can see that she has made improvements. Because I could see the twist coming in her last book and I liked the twist less. In this one I really liked the plot twist en how everything turned out.
Read along with the audiobook. I recommend doing so! It really creates the right atmosphere.
LOVED the beginning, lost all interest after the breakup. It was too long, the characters became annoying. I had to push myself to keep reading after taking some distance. I liked the way it ended and how the characters developed, even though it took a bit too long in my opinion.I love the work of Albertalli and Silvera SO much and I built this book up in my head too much. 3,75*
