4.25 | margo millet you are a mess but trying your best and i love that. was worried i wouldn't be into it because i've ended up not being a huge fan of stories with 20somethings doing not good things, but margo was just sooo likeable, you couldn't help but root for her. looking forward to the tv series!
3.5 i did enjoy this but it felt entirely too long. the first half of this took me foreeeeeever to get through. title was a bit misleading, considering this is barely about murder? but i liked it's whole thing about friendship. and food!
reading about all the food and drink in this made me soooo hungry.
honestly, i liked it more than i thought i was going to. loved the dual pov choice. i always feel like that is missing when reading a first-person romance.
also got the litjoy hardcover edition and the art + spine is sooo pretty
3.75ish ate this one UP!definitely my favorite EH couple from the 3 I've read, probably because they were not involved previouslymiles v nick miller coded which gave him points in my book also the premise was so absurd it just made me laugh
3.5 entertaining but felt way too long. bohai was cool. lauren was alright.the carter stuff gave me sooooo much second hand embarrassment.
that ending was pretty abrupt but obviously it was the correct choice. would have very much hated this otherwise!
the age difference gave me the ick so I'm glad they are slightly aging Hayes up in the film adaptation
generally not a fan of YA so this definitely wasn't for me to begin with - but the writing here is so odd at times. why do they say each other's names very other line??
read this after watching the movie and i think doing that made me give it a higher score since i was already familiar with the characters.
4.5 one of those books that will probably stick with me for a long time. kind of frustrating because all i kept thinking was how did this happen?
