Why this book?
While I love The Hobbit, I have to be honest...I only made it through the LoTR books because I wanted to impress a boy (it did not work). The movies built the world for me in a much more engaging way. Sacrilege, I know!

Why this book?
While I did enjoy the books, the movies did a wonderful job of adding action in the places where Katniss was waiting for long periods of time. It's one of the few series that I actually enjoyed more as films than as books.
