Manga was really cute. I tried to avoid this cause I didn't want to be disappointed from the hype I've seen but it was fairly enjoyable.
★★★★★ stars. Need time to compile my thoughts properly but this was one of my most anticipated books of the year and it delivered everything I wanted from it. I think everyone was forced to read Hamlet during their middle, and often times high school as well, careers and, as someone who enjoyed Hamlet (along with Macbeth), this offered a more human element to the play and of course I will forever be a Laertes fangirl after this.
I will say that I the few vices the book itself has is that one it's a bit too short. I hesitated finishing the last two chapters because I didn't want it to end and the other is that i wanted some more Ophelia and Hamlet scenes. Great novel.
Pretty good classic shoujo manga. Made me remember why I used to love the genre so much as a middle schooler.
Still as great as when I first read it. My little brothers are autistic and I saw a lot of my oldest little one in Charly. Absolutely heartbreaking.
This entire novel was a wild ride starting from the middle of the first part to the very end pages. The prose was as delectable as I have heard and I was more thrilled reading this novel more than any other DA that I've gotten my hands on. It's a classic for a reason and deserves to be savored and read.
A deeply personal and tragic tale of a woman cursed by family trauma and used and the flaws of fame. I've been a fan of Britney since I could even talk and hearing her own story with her own words has been a revelation to me and has given me an appreciation for her. Love you forever Brit.
This was a really nice manga and enjoyable. I enjoyed the art tidbits in the story where I saw that others did not.
A really cute and magical start to an adventure. I was recommended this series by a youtuber and it did not disappoint.
Really great stuff. I already watch some of the anime but wanted to read the manga it was based on and it did not disappoint. Very strong start.
A fitting conclusion to the comics. Sucks that we never got more Dawn of the Jedi comics because of Disney. It's a neat concept and the characters are pretty cool as well.
Still a 4 star enjoyable read as when I first read it in middle school. Made me a little bit emotional .
I hated the brother when I first read this book as a middle schooler, and I probably will still hate him once I begin my reread of this soon but from what I remember he gets better as the series goes on.
Wondrous art that takes us through the Sandman DC Universe. The only flaw I can imagine is that Tim is a bit dull compared to the adults.
Readable but that last page was a slap in the face and I am not a fan of the interview style she is using. I am so disappointed after all the hype from friends for her books.
I first heard of this book off of Reddit in an off thread on R/Fantasy. It claimed it was remnant of Dune, I'm here to rebuke that cause the dad in Dune is WAY better than the dad here and Hadrian is a much more realized protagonist especially with how he changes over the extent of the novel. I was expecting the gladiator part to go for more time but it ended at a good spot.
The only weakness I can name is the excavation parts but it doesn't last for long and it speeds up at a break neck pace almost Sanderson like. Great novel, especially since the author Mr. Ruocchio was only 21 when he wrote it. I'm not even into science fiction as much as fantasy but it's encouraged me to give all the sci fi on my to read shelf another try.
If you've read one, “Girl finds out she's a magical being because of a strange accident and has to go to a magical school and falls in love with the first guy who shows her affection.” you're read them all. Cute for what it is.
i hated everyone and the plot didn't actually start until the last third of the book but it hooked me enough to want to read more. looking forward to when the sequel gets to my door.
