Amusing in parts. Much too laddish - constant references to big boobs and ‘Mr Wriggly' getting excited. Couldn't be bothered to finish it.
If I had not read the first book I would have enjoyed it more. Lots of the first third was taken up by explanations of what had happened previously and became a little tedious. The rest of the book was good. I look forward to another story - perhaps with a synopsis, and a character list at the front .
Can't read anymore of this series. It's been good fun, but the story structure is repetitive, such that I predicted the major plot events before they happened.
I've quite enjoyed this quirky series of thrillers, some interesting characters and plots, but coming a little predictable in format. Somewhat, violent in the action sequences, but good escapist fun.
I was lucky enough to get a ARC from the publisher.
The author Edward Cox has invented truly remarkable worlds. Separate, but joined, through a history where magic, and powerful beings, once caused a cataclysmic war.
After centuries of relative peace, once more, this peace is now threatened by the malevolent whims of some these beings.
Unlikely, and unwilling Heroes from both worlds, must try and help each other, to stop the encroaching darkness.
A great tale of myth and magic, juxtaposed with a modern world.
Gave up after the first 25%. Painfully written in the present tense, with lots of grammar and punctuation mistakes. Needs serious editing.
That was pretty good fun. Interesting characters and a reasonable plot, with a little humour thrown in for good measure.
Hope that there are books in the series
Gave up. Not proof read, bad punctuation. Reads as if poorly translated from another language.
The final part of this series. I just got too bored to finish. I don't care who did it!
This was my first sortie into the Kurtherian universe. It is a young adult series, so a little corny - rom/com meets Marvel meets Space Opera.
However it was quite good fun.
Finished the first two books. Good action, but overkill on the religious philosophy. Gave up on book 3.
