Another awesome book in the series! I can't wait for the next instalment, but guessing that won't be until next year sometime. Great to see Ryder learning more about Brodie and his friendship with Maggie is coming along nicely! Of course it was good to read about the amazing scent dogs they have!
A quick and easy read from an author that lives in my country, New Zealand. The characters were all really likeable although I did want to bang the mother over the head a couple of times. It was predictable but still made me laugh and smile! I've got the next book in the series ready to go, which is about the sister of Tony, one of the main characters of this story.
Really great and quick read. Had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. Was so great at the end when little Alex came back to live with Alex and his family. I thought that Christine would have moved back to the area though.
This was a nice easy read. It did jump back and forward in time, but it did need to do you could learn about Maeve's birth mother. Was great to see the second secret use of the knitting shop. The characters were all great.
It wasn't what I thought it was going to be! I had heard good things about it, but not a book I would read again or buy for my book collection.
It was great to read about how Maggie O'Dell started out in the FBI as she turns up in the Ryder Creed series by Alex Kava. Wouldn't mind reading more books in the Maggie O'Dell series but unfortunately my local library doesn't have many of them.
Well I guess there will be another book as Atlee tries to find Mercy and her mother. Wish I had read the John Puller series first but I had only read one and you find out info about his brother in the book!
Not what I was expecting at all! It jumped back and forth in time which it did need to so you could get the back story, but not a fan of books that do that. Glad everything was explained by the end of the story - although does Henry end up killing Phin?
I really enjoyed this story and the information about looking after bees was unexpected. The characters were all likeable. Glad everything worked out in the end - even if it was after he finished his residency which was five years!
Awesome read! Amazing to read about the exploits of Dean and Nala after he found her and formed such a strong bond! To finish the book with him and Nala being stuck in Budapest in lockdown in the midst of the coronavirus was unexpected. I've now found his Facebook page and started following it so I can keep up with their escapades.
Was great to learn what really happened to John Puller's mother on the night she disappeared and give the Puller family closure. I really enjoyed this story and couldn't put it down!
Wow - so good for Alex to get closure with what happened to Maria after all this time. Sad that Kayla moved away. Pleased that he left the FBI and opened up his own practice. So much better when Sampson is included in the story
It has been awhile since I read the first book in the series, but I was completely drawn in to the story and had to keep reading it as much as possible to find out about Ally's story and background.
Another great murder mystery with great characters. I got a huge lump in my throat when Mercy offered to give Elvis away, even a couple of tears in my eyes! So pleased he stayed with her and her and Troy patched things up! Hopefully there will be another book in the series!

A great story with quite a few laughs! I would say the ending leaves it open for another story but we'll see!
A great whodunnit with search and rescue dogs! Really kept me interested and wanting to know what happened next. It loses a star because I wasn't a fan of the ending. I was really hoping Mercy and Troy we're going to get their happy ever after! Fingers crossed it happens in the next book!
It had a few twists and turns. I had a feeling he might go back to police work even if not in a full time basis. I'm pleased Sampson was ok, as he's a great character.
I didn't enjoy this story as much as most of the others in the series so far. Not sure if that's because a lot was based in Africa so he wasn't working with the normal characters until he was back in Washington.
What an amazing story! I didn't like the way they took Sam from the home he'd known for 9 years, surely it could have been handled differently. Pleased for the happy ending and the bonding of Sam with his birth parents at the end.
Interesting point of view based on true events from teacher and young student of a British run missionary school in China which is taken over by the Japanese during WW2. Really felt a connection with the characters and felt so sad when Sprout passed away!
I did not appreciate the animals being killed and am glad that Hettie managed to save Violet! Very cute that she would take Violet home just in case! It was a shame that she lost her mother when they were just reconnecting after the loss of her sister.
