I really enjoyed it but it wasn't as funny as i thought it was going to be. The main character Ignatius got on my nerves, and despite his high level of education was extremely stupid and child like, i did feel bad for him towards the end. The only tolerable character was Jones as all he wanted was a decent wage
I cannot remember a single thing that happened.
Just generally didn't enjoy it, was very boring
I loved how it was told from the male gaze. It meant that the story was haunting and we know very little about the Lisbon sisters.
I found it a really intriguing book but because we are told what was going to happen at the end at the start I found the ending to be quite anticlimactic.
i love the way casey mcquiston writes well rounded characters to the point that the side characters are well rounded
I absolutely loved how lyrical the writing of this book was and how the usage of the second person made the story feel more personal. It is a beautiful tribute to the the black - British experience and a compelling love story. Unfortunately despite the book being relatively short I found it really difficult to get through as the pacing was really slow.
really interesting historical retelling of sapphic women in europe. my one problem is i didn't like how it was structured
