A Court of Thorns and Roses

Obviously, this is a very famous series and I am late to the party. And I have to say that this was quite enjoyable. Feyre and her family live on the border of Faerie and mortal lands and the only choice she has is to hunt for survival or die. On one such night, she kills a wolf not knowing that it's Fae and a beast comes home seeking revenge – a life for a life. He agrees to spare her life if she comes to live at his home in Faerie for the rest of her life. She agrees because all needs is for her family to be okay. Initially, all she wants to do is run away from the manor house of the High Lord of Spring Court, Tamlin but slowly she becomes friends with him and his emissary Lucien. She becomes stronger, self-confident and starts feeling at home with them. And then they fall in love 😍😍😍...

Not much happens till more than half of the book. Feyre is just living with Tam and learning about his court and the problems all the Fae are facing. Mind you, the book isn't boring, it's just that there isn't much plot. But I did like the way Feyre and Tam's relationship grows from hate to love. And the last part of the book had most of the action which was interesting. Obviously, I really really had fun getting to know Rhysand and he seems such an intriguing and creepy character. I would love to see more of him in the next book and explore the relationship dynamics between the three of them. On the whole, this is a fun beginning to the series setting up for a much more interesting sequel.
