Before Watchmen: The Comedian #1

Purchased for 50 cents. Worth a penny. Comedian #1 is from the “Before Watchmen” limited series that I am now hesitant to read because of how awful this comic was. This comic did not do the original “Watchmen” character any justice, now mind you I haven't read Watchmen in 7 or 8 years so my memory is a bit foggy but I don't remember The Comedian being so bland. The Comedian is supposed to be ruthless and raw. The story did not pack any punch and was very dull to get through. I was excited to read this because I wanted to pick up the series but now I am not sure.
