Breathe and Count Back from Ten

This was lovely! I really loved Vero's journey here and I think this is such a good example of ~intersectionality~–the way Vero's Peruvian culture and her disability both impact her life in ways that make her different from other Peruvian Americans as well as from white disabled people are so clearly demonstrated and important. I loved the messiness here too, how you could totally understand why Vero would make the choices she did while also being like UH OH! I also really loved reading about the ins and outs of Mermaid Cove.
