This. Book. Was. Freaking. AWESOME. My only regret: the next book isn't here yet. Let us commence with the praise and fangirling!
I admire how “real” Harper is. She's more or less pragmatic, she's not too predictable, and she's incredibly hilarious. I also like how independent she is. She doesn't cry, even when things are just going up...poop's...creek. She made this book so refreshing. It's been a while since I've read a book where the characters don't cry every time their relationship is heading the wrong direction. There also wasn't any of that relationship drama where she heard something about him but he never said that and then some other chick appears...yeah. This book didn't have that-which was awesome! And might I mention that it was also extremely gratifying that Harper is such a kick ass heroine?!
And then there's Knox. You would think such a controlling and dominant person couldn't stand such a stubborn and independent person like Harper. But then you'd be WRONG. To me, they're basically made for each other. I like how Knox would continuously make compromises with Harper. You don't get to see that often in many relationships, fictional or otherwise.
And then there's no hating the mystery of who's responsible for all the conflict brewing in the story. Keeps you guessing.
I could go on and on with praises about this book but I'll refrain for now and just tell you, whoever you may be, to READ THE BOOK. You might not like it, not that I'm saying the book is bad, but people just have different tastes, but that's pretty darn unlikely. Either way, READ IT. Expand your horizons. Add another book to your read list on Goodreads. Do it to FANGIRL WITH ME.
