Cast in Peril

Kaylin has had her roommate Bellusdeo for about two weeks. Even though she loves her little one room apartment, she is tempted to take the Emperor up on his offer of a bigger place. One morning, she wakes up to find that her egg is a different color. It looks to be ready to hatch. At the same time, a bomb is thrown through the window. It should have killed them both, but the egg somehow absorbed enough of it to keep them alive. The apartment, actually, the building, did not fare so well. Kaylin will have to worry about finding a new place later, because it is time for her to travel to the West March as payment for Lord Nightshade's information on the Exchequer. What a trip it will be!! These books just keep getting better! If I could go higher than a 5 star rating, I would.
