Catwoman moves from the slum district of the preceding volumes to wealthier parts of Gotham as she takes on some of the city's crime bosses -mostly non-costumed, although Black Mask is the central villain. Despite the different setting and the sleeker art, this fits in the same mould as V's run in that it's an action-filled crime story without much of the superheroics. There's also a major theme about fighting misogyny here, with most (but not all) of the male characters coming out of it pretty badly. It gets crazier in the last two issues when Selina teams up with Harley Quinn and takes part in a roller derby but the writing remains strong and it's certainly fun (although, unfortunately, the art takes a bit of a dive at that point). It's a good take on Catwoman, showing both her protective and acquisitive sides and putting her back in a more typical setting - as well as some reflections on her relationship with Batman.
