Charming the Troublemaker

This cute romance between two college teachers—a professor and a speech therapist—was a fun, lighthearted romantic comedy in the vein of Hallmark. There's a bit of danger from Alex's family past that lends some suspense to the story but it's really the humor that had me giggling and flipping pages. I actually read the whole thing in under two hours! My favorite scene had to be the mud-phone-lost one. It was so hilarious and he deserved it so much!

Some of the kisses got a bit heavy, so more of an 18+ read, but it stays pretty clean otherwise. I enjoyed this one the most of any of Basham's that I've read and really liked that God was front and center (though the Bible paraphrase quotes bugged me, especially the Psalm 46 one which is everywhere nowadays but which is SO used out of context)...overall, a super fun read perfect for relaxing after a long week.
