Chasing the Lead: A Department of Second Chances Novella

What a fun and suspenseful start to this series. I have enjoyed this author's other books and couldn't wait to get started with these.

Paige is great. I love a strong, capable, yet vulnerable female lead. Noah is a great opposite to her tenacity. They have great chemistry together. It did take a minute for the whole “I don't know you but I can't live without you” type scenario to take hold. That's just me as a reader who doesn't often delve into romance. After I got used to the idea though, I was all about it.

The suspense part of this one is what kept me engaged the most. I do love that the author doesn't make this all about one or the other...it's a great mix of the two and makes for an enjoyable read.
