De avond is ongemak

I really don't understand how people could read all this animal/physical/emotional/domestic abuse. The grossness. The acts bordering on incest and sexual deviation and be like yeah!! 5 stars! 
The writing is ok but yeesh I thought I'd be reading something psychological about not mourning properly not something this smutty. 
When the author does delve into the mourning aspect I could relate and it was painfully beautiful but my god at what cost?
