“Yet rarely, if ever, is the classical presentation of dying taught in medical school.”
I don't know if anybody would do as astounding a job of teaching about death as Dr Rachel Clarke, even if it were taught in medical school. Amazingly written, yet each chapter hits hard - demanding the digestion of all that has just been read.
A truly respectable way to learn many lessons about how terminality (leading to unavoidable death) doesn't mean that you have to stop living, all while following through the author's own amazing story.
Additionally, potential trigger warning for those who have lived, or are living through, a loved one with terminal cancer.
