Edgedancer

2024 Update:

Edgedancer is one of my favorite novellas. A perfect balance of storytelling with just the right amount of action, comedy and development. It's not too long, or too short.

Lift is one of the best secondary characters out there. And I always love reading her chapters in The Stormlight Archive, which make this spotlight of her amazing. Having listened to it the second time around, Kate Reading makes her sound exactly what I hoped her to be like. She's makes herself a heroine in her own way and disregarding the rest of world around her; choosing the path less travelled.
