Farewell, My Subaru

I listened to this one on audio, and it was a pretty enjoyable 4 hours. Great for a car trip. Doug is rather straightforward and funny, so it's a good listen. The story itelf, of taking a property in New Mexico off the grid and living a sustainable life is one I was already interested in. I had to laugh when, at the end, he says something about all of his efforts coming together because he “tried”. I get it. Of course, having the money to do all of this helped too, I bet ;)In the book, he drops thousands of dollars, not to mention the price of the actual property. So- no quick fixes here, but I leave this book being more aware of what's going on around me.
