Patrick Lee just picks up the pace where he left of in the first installment and the entities that he brings into the second book make this one a pleasure to read. The key to great sci-fi is that once your base premise has been made the rest needs to logical. And that's exactly where Patrick shows his ability. Scenarios are well conceived and resolved without loose ends thus making for great pace and reader satisfaction. To cap it all off towards the end he connects it back to the first book thus letting you know that this is truly a franchise and not individual storylines. Highly recommended! Onward!
