Wight does it again, making me love all these quirky characters of his. I love the addition of Mercy and the contrast her warmth adds to Yerin's cold-blooded warrior heart. And I'm excited about this Dross character, too.

It's becoming a favourite Found Family to me.

I feel like this series is finally beginning to build bridges between the Sacred Valley of book 1 to this vast far away whatever-the-hell-it-is Suriel showed Lindon (also book 1).
