Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

I finally caved in and decided to give Harry Potter a go. After all, can one really be said to be an elementary school librarian without having read these books? They did not disappoint me. I read and read and read. I read on the plane, on the bus, during award ceremonies, and all this weekend. Couldn't wait to get to the last page; couldn't wait to start the next book. Scarier than I expected. I actually woke up one night during the Potter reading marathon with bad dreams. Overall, a fun romp with strong characters, surprising plot twists...a compelling read.
