Really liked the first one. This one not so much. Story feels forced around the pictures.
I didn't love it, but it could have been my mood. Kind of sticks with the formula- book 2, characters on the run. We meet some new peculiars and have much teen angst for some of the ones we know already. The road trip made me tired just reading it, and it remains to be seen whether or not some of the scenes I thought were pretty powerful stick with me. Warning: despite having read the graphic novel only a month ago, I was still playing catch up on how the hollows/holloghasts/wights all work. I appreciated the guide to the characters in the front of the book.

Oh. My. Gosh. I can't believe it just ended... There. Okay. I'm done.
It was really good at the beginning, kind of slow in the middle, and a nail-biter at the end. And of course, just like the first book, it just ended. Might I say that Enoch inadvertently became my favorite character? I don't think I have the patience to wait for the third one.
