I picked this up and couldn't put it down! This is one of my favorites of Hannon's so far. Nick is a delightful hero; with every reason to brush Rachel's senses off as odd or fake, he instead takes the time to listen and observe and give her a chance. Though he doesn't believe something could be connected with the mysterious doll, he finds himself asking about a reasonable way an object could elicit such a strange reaction. And...gingerly becoming her friend. Then he spots a match to the doll in a photo of a kidnapped baby, and Rachel is suddenly in grave danger, thanks to a persistent, misguided tabloid reporter. And there are some surprising discoveries with the kidnapped baby's family history...

I simply kept flipping pages on this book today, despite a car maintenance waiting room and work on my house. It's a delightful edge-of-your-seat crime drama, and one I'm very glad to have read.
