I didn't know much about Lady Jane Grey. All I knew was that she was queen for only nine days between the death of King Henry VIII's son, Edward and the rise of Henry and Katherine's daughter, Queen “Bloody” Mary. I didn't know why or how she came to be queen. Written by a historian, “Innocent Traitor” gave me a full picture of this reluctant girl queen. Written from Jane's point of view and those around her, the novel weaves together a fictional account of what the players may have been thinking and their motives around historical facts of the time.

I'm a Tudor fan and love reading novels about the famous (and infamous) family. I'd recommend this one to anyone who enjoys the Tudors as I do.
