Intrinsic Hope: Living Courageously in Troubled Times

I was so close to giving this book five stars, but I can't say I would read it again and that's what a five star rating means to me. I would have liked it much better if didn't seem to randomly highlight global crises. Don't get me wrong, this is very important knowledge and we are required to help change the world for the better both personally and collectively—it just felt disjointed in a way that I cannot explain. Perhaps it was because I didn't expect this to be the loose framework for the book (as I only looked at the title and assumed it would be more self-helpy). I was pleasantly surprised by Kate Davies' various spiritual views and felt inspired throughout. I used to think that hope was fleeting, that we needed trust and belief to move through life, but she shifted my perspective. I now realize this is exactly what intrinsic hope entails.
