Kiss of a Witch

This is the second book of the Darkness Rising series but is a standalone novel that focus on Mary, a cursed child since birth that lives as a prostitute and Toby, who longs for freedom from his life at the tailor's shop.    It was such a quick read with great characters and a dark magical setting with a bit of suspense to add a more mysterious ambience. I really enjoyed the background of the characters and their lack of choices through life.    Overall, it was a good book with the nice amount of spicy scenes and a good dose of mystery that made me keep guessing how it would end. It was the first book I read of this author, but I enjoy it quite much.    Thank you, NetGalley & the publisher, for approving me to read this arc and write this review.
