I adored Shame, so much. I still cannot get that book and its characters out of my head. I'll be doing something and all of a sudden a thought will pop into my mind about them. It was such a beautiful love story filled with longing, heartache, acceptance, and happiness. How could I possibly let myself forget about it? So I was super excited to find out that Fiona had released a novella continuing their story. More of these awesome characters? Yes, please! Even though I was lucky, I finished Shame and 12 hours later I was diving into Make It to the Altar. Fiona Cole's writing is so captivating, she grabs hold of the reader and doesn't let them go, she's also a big meanie, like this poor couple has not been through enough, come on!
This was such as cute little novella. Although Shame is a complete book and it ends well, it's nice to have this glimpse into their happy ever after. Of course, things are not smooth sailing for them. One disaster after another strikes and Ana is crumbling under the stress and Kevin, bless his heart, is doing his best to support her, but eventually, he has to take charge, only in his dominance can Ana truly relax and let the stresses go. I am still in awe of these characters and in love with them and their story. I think I could read about them for months and not get bored. I love the dynamic of their relationship and seeing them living their lives with the acceptance of who they are and what they desire is just beautiful.
Just like with Shame, the sex scenes are off the charts hot. But they're positioned in a way that makes it so easy to see that that is how a couple would be and the sex fit with their story. None of it was overdone. The little mention of things that happened in Shame was a lovely addition and I think if I had left it longer to read this book I'd want to dive right back in and re-read Shame. If Shame ever gets an audiobook (pretty please with Kevin on top) Make It to the Altar would work wonderfully being added at the end as an extended epilogue.

**Note: This book also contains a short story that was posted online. Earn It. Earn It is a super-fast read that will have you swooning and panting in no time. You'll definitely have a big smile on your face when you get to the end.
