Memories of a Life

I'm pretty sure I spent half of this book in complete agony and I'm not even upset about it. Jewel E Ann is a wizard, undoubtedly, and the conclusion to Josie and Colten's story was so heartbreaking and beautiful in all sorts of ways.

“It took twenty-seven years for me to fully open up my heart to him. It took twenty-seven years for me to feel worthy of his love.”

Do not go into this story thinking it's butterflies and rainbows because it HURTS. This book HURTS. Every feeling that Josie goes through, every time Colten tries to help, you feel it all through the magnificent writing.

“Baby, we're all a little broken. I'll take you chipped, cracked, or shattered into a million little pieces.”

I didn't ask to be wrecked, but I'm sure glad I was!
