4.5 Love On Extreme Doses of Steroids Star!!!! :)
I have never been compelled to leave a review before but oh my goodness, I just had to come in and say that this book is one of the best books I have read this year. It took me on such an emotional rollercoaster that although it took me a longer time to process and finish the book (because I wanted to savor the pain and hope Edie is feeling) I just couldn't put it down!
At first I wast like, go Edie! I wanted her to get her family back. I am not a mother nor am I married but I just wanted her to have a second chance, to have another knack at happily ever after. I was depressed for a long time too and I know how it feels when Edie says that she just lost herself. I was cheering for Edie during the first parts of the book. I felt so betrayed when she first talked with Beth. I hated Beth and I would cheer for Edie.
And then Beth and she had that talk and I felt like I got what Beth was thinking, what she was feeling and I could sympathize with her as well.
Donnie is the best character of all, for me. He was properly portrayed and I could actually feel the pain he felt when Edie came back, I could feel his confusion. I may have wanted die to get her second chance but it didn't mean she'd get it easily.
Then Beth tells Donnie about thwat Edie did and I didn't know what to feel about it! They were finally happy!!! :( And then Donnie comes and gives Edie another chance and I just bawled my eyes out because they finally got their happy ending.
Awww, I love this book!!
