Pretty good cover on this one. A good representation of the hero. Good composition as well. The font used for the title is a bit too thin (IMO) which makes it a bit hard to read.

I enjoyed this one for the most part. It was a bit slow and repetitive at times, but overall it wasn't a bad read. The writing was good. The pace as I said was a bit too slow for me. The plot was engaging. It wasn't very angsty and had no OW/OM drama. Although the hero does go to the BDSM club and makes plans with a sub there, he realizes it doesn't feel right and ends the scene. There are also flashback sex scenes of when she was being held captive. There was only a single sex scene between the hero/heroine that takes place at 75% into the book. But it was a very emotional and poignant scene that brought tears to my eyes.

There was a nice collection of secondary characters (couples from previous books). And both main characters were likable. Donovan had the patience of a saint, and I really liked him. Although I would have preferred the book had moved a bit quicker so we would have gotten more time spent with Donovan in DOM mode. Phebe was also quite a good heroine. My heart broke for her, but she was strong and determined to take her life back. I loved whenever she called Donovan out on him treating her like she was going to break. Lastly, it was all wrapped up in a short and sweet epilogue. This one gets a solid thumbs up from yours truly.
