4.5 Stars

Lately for me book two of duets never seem to live up to the promise book one laid down. That was SO not the case with this book. It was almost a perfect 5 Star read for me. Corrupt Savior picks up right after the ending events of Cruel Sanctuary and we are immediately thrust into the ongoing action. Damon is on the warpath and Aislinn is determined to save herself. I adored these two. They have such an amazing connection. They are probably one of my favorite book couples to date.

So deets...The writing remained top notch. It was a well-paced book. The plot continued to be super engaging. There were twists and turns. Hot sex. Not OW or OM drama. Some intriguing secondary characters I would love to see get their own books (Sebastian..please). And both Damon and Aislinn remained strong main characters.

So why not 5 Stars. Two things lowered my rating ever so slightly. One, I didn't like how Aislinn reacted to something near the end of the book. Honestly, I thought she WAY overreacted and I am not a fan of runners. So that tarnished my love for her (just a wee bit). My other issue was that I thought the ending was a bit rushed. I was expecting a little more regarding the whole mole situation. Still, even with those two minor issues this was still a fantastic duet I can't recommend highly enough.
