I had high expectations for this book.

Have you read the synopsis? Well, that was what caught me too.

Unfortunately as soon as I stated reading, I became more and more disappointed.

I don't get the 5 stars and the excited reviews of other readers. I really don't get it.

First: I hated Amber. She is one of the worst narrators I've ever read. If she would have died on page 20 I wouldn't have minded. The author didn't make any effort to make me like Amber. She was childish, sometimes really stupid and with no sense at all.

Second: Derio is spoiled and a total idiot. What he needed wasn't a girlfriend but a THERAPIST! A really good one! He was so wrecked up and acted like a total imbecile most of the time, but when he wanted to have sex with Amber, he became the perfect Italian lover.

Third: The synopsis promised me a good tension between Derio and Amber, but heck no! There was only two scenes of fighting but all the time -and since they met- there was a lot of instant lust and sexual tension between them.

Fourth: The broken almost-ugly girl who somehow manages to gain the heart of a perfect and rich troubled man. Yeah, sure! That is so real! Happens all the time! I know this is fiction but are you kidding me?! That is so cliché!

Fifth: How is it possible that a total irresponsible and immature girl can save and rehab a man so messed up?

Sixth: The story was predictable. There weren't any surprises at all. You know how it starts, of course you know what is the main twist and so the end is expected.

Seventh: First lust, then sex and finally love... I'm sorry but I don't buy it. This is fiction but even fiction has to have a real situation, and honestly I can't believe this surreal story.

Eight: There was too much sex. This is a romance book or an erotic one? Maybe it's my fault for not paying attention to the description. I don't know...

Ninth: It was so cheesy that my eyes hurt. The only time when I celebrated was when they broke up. I was so happy to see them separate because I couldn't stand them together.

In conclusion: I'm really pissed off because I wasted my time reading this book. I hated it. Didn't enjoy any word or scene. Even when this book was free, I'm regretting that I read it.

I won this book through GoodReads and I thank to the publisher for providing me this copy but this fact didn't influence the review.
