The blurb on the back of this book snagged a mom at our book fair and the next thing she knew, she was telling me about why she was buying it at the checkout counter: “Riley has crossed the bridge into the afterlife...When she's summoned before The Council, she learns that the afterlife isn't just an eternity of leisure. She's been assigned a job, Soul Catcher....”



Of course, after hearing that much, I couldn't pass up this book either. It's a children's book, so know that, and it's first of a new series, but I found it to be an intriguing look at the afterlife. Comforting, too, so that's nice as well.
