I have such mixed feelings about this book...There were positives and negatives...but mostly negatives. I'm going to try to keep this spoiler free or else I”ll just keep on ranting until the world ends.
So this book is supposed to be set in the world of motorcycle clubs, and the definition of a motorcycle club to the author is a bunch of buff, sexist he-men dominating slutty women. Who knows? Maybe that IS the definition of a motorcycle club. But this...is just not my cup of tea. Things are so dysfunctional I can't even...There were orgies, and lap dances (that were considered nothing psh). The line between cheating and staying true was blurred...A LOT. There was some question about whether this or not was considered rape, but really, if it's even close to rape then you probably shouldn't do it.
And then the author tried to incorporate a mystery into the plot, though it wasn't much of a mystery. Of COURSE that guy was a jackass. It's not a stretch he would do anything to come out on top, even double cross his supposed brothers.
I wouldn't say I completely regretted picking up this book, what with that ending, but this...is far from my favorite.
