Romancing the Bride

Okay, I just loved this story so much that I really haven't got the words to give a coherent review. Annie and Jake are such a fun and unusual couple! The only thing predictable to me was some of the stuff to do with Annie losing the ranch...otherwise, it was so unpredictable and edge-of-my-seat. I read the entire thing in three or four large gulps and lost sleep two nights in a row.

The mystery in this story was really enjoyable. The bad guys in town have corrupted a decent guy, and that bit adds so much suspense! And the author doesn't hesitate to push these characters to the absolute brink of the breaking point and sometimes over it!! Wow. It just gets worse and worse until I was sure the poor good guys were going to be terribly defeated!

Overall, and excellent western-flavor book.

Content: clean. 18+ for some situations related to a marriage of convenience.
