He poofs out of thin air, gives her an envelope of cash and tells her to leave. That is where the addiction starts. Malek begins watching her every move and sneaks into the unsneakable situations just to talk to her (major swoon). Once Riley reveals that she is actually Sloane's sister who is married to the man who killed his brother, he takes her. It's way more intense than simply just taking her but you have to read it to get all the good details. This is the first book I've ever read where I truly believe these two people were soulmates. ALSO when I see the words cowboy boots and aviators AHH my heart
