Snail Crossing

A snail sees a cabbage on the other side of the road. He must reach the cabbage. The cabbage is a long, long way from the snail. The snail can do it.

Isn't this lovely? I'd like to read this one aloud to kids and see what they think. They couldn't help but like it, I think.
