Sweet Brutality

I am completely not reading this in order buttttt I love seeing the story lines connect. This was not my most favorite in the series but it was still so so so good. Zoe Blake knows how to write the best over the top men and strong willed women. I love the bond that all of these women create based off their similar experiences.

One day Maxim has a run in with our FMC, Carinna and immediately is enthralled by her give no fucks personality. One night he swoops in when a unruly customer gets a little too touchy, from that moment on he vows to protect her. Over the next two days, feelings emerge at rapid speeds and Carinna is doing anything to fight it.

What I LOVED was the soft side we saw of Maxim. All these men just want to spoil the fuck out of their women. Him at the pastry class AAAHHH. One of my only dislikes was I was wish we'd have some more tension, the spice in these books always starts a litttlleeee to early in my opinion.
