“They would forget their hatred of each other only in a new and more terrible war with us.” I mean could you really blame the aliens for thinking this way? I related with both the aliens and the female character. The aliens were terrified to help humans and the female was slightly upset and confused that the aliens didn't help out sooner. Typically we see fear in sci-fi stories that is directed towards the aliens, but this time around it is the aliens afraid of us. Then the ending happens and I don't want to spoil it but its good.

Reminded me of Oedipus Rex, the aliens are trying to avoid war (a prophecy in regards to the greek tragedy) from happening, only to probably having one in the end anyway.
