The Godmother

Looks like Tessa King is minding everyone's business. Except her own. She's nearing forty (I think) and single (and flirting around), she's jobless (but she's got money from a sexual harassment case) and she's a godmother to all her friends' children.

Except for some few (VERY) poignant moments, this novel actually bores me. How I managed to finish it is a mystery.
